De Reference 7 HD Music Player ondersteunt het decoderen van diverse audio formaten zoals WAV, FLAC, AIFF. Met firmware-upograde is het mogelijk de Ref7 meerder formaten te laten ondersteunen. Tevens kan de Ref7 worden gebruikt als Music Server, het ondersteunt een NAS en kan het netwerk delen via WI-FI/LAN. Met de geïntegreerde kanaallijst kunnen tienduizend digitale internet radiostations worden ontvangen. Met het 5 inch touch screen LCD scherm kan het apparaat eenvoudig bedient worden en ook de afstandsbediening is van alle gemakken voorzien. Met een iPad, iPod en iPhone zal de Reference 7 ook te bedienen zijn.
